2016.5 CX-5 backup camera not functioning. Everything was working fine until I got to work this morning, went to parallel park & suddenly the backup camera wasn't engaging when in reverse, ITS stays on whatever screen it was on. Tried shifting a few times as well as restarting the car, nothing. Curious if anyone has seen & resolved this before

I know this is a Mazda CX-9 forum but luckily a Google search landed me here. I have the '08 Mazda 5 and was experiencing the same issue with the"Media" button on the radio console, as well as the "Mode" button on the steering wheel stereo controls not ever selecting the "Aux" mini stereo input jack next to the accessory power socket.
With the audio power on, press the POWER button and simultaneously press the SEEK button (upper) for approx. 1 s. That should put the LCD into test mode (all segments lit up) Turn the car off and restart it. Try button inspection mode: With the audio power on, press the POWER button and simultaneously press the CLOCK button for approx. 1 s.
2017 nav system stopped working, keeps rebooting cx5. Mechanic's Assistant: Did just this device lose power? Does the vehicle run normally otherwise? I connected apple play for less than an hour and the audio suddenly stopped. I can see the song in the infotainment screen but no sound. I toggled the volume and it doesn’t even display the volume meter. After disconnecting apple play, trying Bluetooth, doing a hard reset, still nothing.

I picked up a $20 " mazda CX-5 seat motor drive shaft cable rod 2" stainless" on EBay. I had to cut off 1/4" w/ a Harb Frt electric cut off tool. It took a good bit of giggling to fit but it works, tho a bit noisy. Plan B would be to pick up a used seat track from a bone yard, $150 + shipping. Most yards are tied to the nationwide used parts
